Corporate Social Responsibility

With four offices across the East Midlands, Timms Solicitors recognise that, as a local business, we have a responsibility to society.
We take our role within the wider community seriously and as such undertake many fundraising and charity events.

Free Charity Will Schemes

We run free charity Will schemes, through which many of our clients over 55 years old are able to make their Will free of charge. The charities we are involved with are:
Cancer Research
Stroke Association
Rainbows

We actively fundraise for a variety of charities which include:

Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

Visitors to the Timms stand at the Ashby Show raised funds from a raffle and face painting.

NSPCC

Fees from the Family Department’s annual conference CPD held in June each year has so far raised £1750 to date.

British Heart Foundation

Staff donated £200 to the British Heart Foundation.

Macmillan

Staff participated in the ‘Worlds Largest Coffee Morning’ raising £100 for Macmillan in 2015.

Rainbows Childrens Hospice

As our chosen charity in 2015, Timms raised £2000 for Rainbows through a number of fundraising events including running the Derby Ramathon and Abseiling down Derby Cathedral.

Also, many employees opt out of sending Christmas cards and instead choose to donate to Rainbows Children's Hospice, raising £180 in 2014.

Actively Involved

We continue to be actively involved in local community projects and currently sponsor the Stapenhill Swans and in 2014 participated in ‘The Scarf’ initiative with Ashby de la Zouch Town Partnership.

Timms sponsored the Children of Courage awards in 2014 in conjunction with the Burton Mail.

In 2015 and 2016, we will be sponsoring the Mini Ramathon event in Derby with 5 employees participating in the half marathon and supporting the chosen charity, Rainbows.

We also work with the University of Derby in a mentoring programme.
