Timms Secure Over £200,000 For Free Wills Charities
Every October, Timms Solicitors join many other law firms nationally for Free Wills Month raising future incomes for specific charities such as the British Heart Foundation, Age UK, Mind, NSPCC to name a few.
In October 2020, despite the obvious difficulties of the pandemic, the campaign was deemed a great success with a huge £16,739,373 raised in future income for the charities. We are pleased to announce that Timms raised approximately £209,950 in future income.
What Is Free Wills Month?
Free Wills Month brings together a group of well-respected charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations across England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
An up to date Will written by a solicitor ensures your wishes are respected. It also avoids difficult decisions and legal complications for your loved ones. Free Wills Month allows you to provide for family and friends and leave a gift to your chosen charities too.

Most UK charities depend on legacies for up to half their income – by taking part in a Free Wills Month campaign you could help one or more of these worthy causes.
How Does Free Wills Month Work?
Anyone aged 55 and over can contact us during October to request an appointment. We will be happy to help draw up a Will that accurately reflects your wishes, whether you are an individual or a couple. Those taking part are under no obligation to leave a gift to one of the Free Wills Month charities, however, we earnestly hope that you will see this as a chance to help your favourite cause.
Appointments are always limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
