Will I Need A Medical Assessment?

As part of your personal injury claim you will be required to attend a medical examination with an independent medical expert who specialises in the type of injuries you have suffered. The report forms the basis of valuing your claim and therefore we are unable to settle your claim without obtaining a report. The third party will also require sight of the report before they will consider any offers of settlement.

In terms of the contents of the report, it will provide an opinion and prognosis period of the injuries you have suffered. It will also cover the extent and duration of the injury, impact on your life, any pre-existing conditions and the likelihood of permanent symptoms.

The medical report can also be an important part of your rehabilitation as the expert may indicate that further investigations or treatment are required. Once we have received this information from the expert we can then arrange the appropriate treatment to aid your recovery
