Timms Formalise Support For DCCT

Support For DCCT

Timms Solicitors have expanded their relationship with Derby County Community Trust (DCCT) by joining several other local companies and organisations in becoming a Trust Partner.

Timms have supported several of the Trust’s initiatives over the past few years including collecting food donations to help local individuals and families in need and sponsoring the Inclusion category in the DCCT annual awards.

Marketing manager Sharon Jeffery and her 13-year-old daughter Natalie are also joining the Rams in Kenya project this Spring – spending eight days working at local schools in Nakuru to improve conditions for the pupils and their families.

Now, as a formal Trust Partner, Timms will continue this existing support with further input including supporting the education and employability department with mentoring and careers talks for young people as well as becoming a sponsor of a club or team involved in DCCT’s Inclusion project.

Timms managing partner Fiona Moffat explained: “We have long recognised the valuable contribution that DCCT makes in the local communities that we serve and I am delighted that we have further embedded our relationship with the charity under the Trust Partner programme.

“This is a more formal agreement which enables local companies such as ourselves to support and sponsor the Trust. As a Partner, we are also able to utilise our skills and resources with DCCT participants, for example having the opportunity to speak about legal matters such as the importance of making a Will”.

Pete Collins, DCCT Business Development Manager commented: “We are delighted that Timms Solicitors have joined our popular Trust Partners programme which is an opportunity for a wide range of companies to support, sponsor or even take part in our projects.

“Collaboration is one of our key values and, as part of the programme, we are committed to working with our Trust Partners in whatever way we can including supporting their Corporate Social Responsibility policies and providing volunteering opportunities as part of individuals’ professional development.”
