Overview of our Trainee Solicitor Programme
It has always been the approach of the firm to provide a good quality service to clients putting them at the centre of our thinking. The firm needs strong and determined people at all levels to develop and grow the business, taking it forward into new areas and face new challenges.
We have realised that we are doing something different from our competitors, we are proud of the service we can deliver and remain approachable and professional, rooted in our history but not held back by it.
Our Trainee Solicitor Programme
The Trainee Solicitor programme is the period of recognised training in the final stages of qualifying as a solicitor. Candidates are eligible to commence training after completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC)/ CILEx/ SQE or whilst completing the LPC/ CILEx/ SQE. The programme involves supervised working as a Trainee Solicitor within Timms.
The training is designed to enable candidates to understand the practical implications of the law and develop the skills required to be a solicitor.
The period of recognised training is normally two years full time, but this can be reduced if the successful candidate has the relevant previous legal experience.
Our training contracts provide trainees with hands-on experience in a variety of different areas of law. The departments that trainees are likely to gain experience in include; Family Law, Wills and Probate, Commercial and Residential Property and Personal Injury/ Clinical Negligence.
Our Trainee Solicitors are supported by a Training Manager and have a structured development plan to support their progression.
