Covid-19 & ID Checks
These are very strange times indeed. With the current restrictions in place, all of our matters are taking place behind ‘closed doors’.
We are currently unable to see clients face to face, and for the safety of our team and clients, we have ensured each office is conducting ID checks and paperwork drop offs that are compliant with the current restrictions.
We ask that at every office all clients wear a face mask and preferably bring some hand sanitiser along to disinfect before and after handing over documents/ID. This will ensure the safety of yourself and our team!
We would also like to remind clients that if a payment is being made at any of these appointments, please refrain from using cash. We can accept cheques and we now have an online payment feature on our website.
Please remember that all of our offices are appointment only. Due to COVID restrictions and following government guidance we must ensure that people are not travelling to our offices without a valid reason and to ensure that clients are not crowding outside the offices.
Please remember that if you show any signs or symptoms of COVID then please let us know. We can easily reschedule an appointment and everybodys safety is the main priority!

DERBY – St. Michael’s, Queen Street, Derby, DE1 3SU
Our Derby office is located in St. Michaels, a converted church on Queen Street (above).
Please come up to the large brown church doors where you will enter a small porch. In front of you will be glass doors, please wait behind these and ring the bell.
The relevant team member will then ask you to pass through your ID/ documents through the letterbox and then proceed to ask you to pull down your mask to quickly certify!
If any documents/ID are needed to be copied, we will do this and return it to you through the letterbox!
SWADLINCOTE – Empire Buildings, 23 West Street, Swadlincote, DE11 9DG
Please come to the door, ring the bell and wait for one of our team.
As detailed for our Derby office, please wait for instruction to pull down your mask!
We will ask you to pass your documents and ID through the letterbox and these will be copied and verified.
Anything passed back to you will be sanitised!
BURTON – 7/8 Lichfield Street, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 3RE
Our Burton office is quite unique as we are conducting the ID checks through the window of the office!
Please come to the front door and ring the bell and one of our team will come and meet you.
ID/Documents, like in our other offices, should be posted through the letterbox please!
These will then be copied and returned.
ASHBY – 80 Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1AP
Things run a little differently at our Ashby office and we can offer Zoom appointments for ID checks (9-5pm only!).
You will be given a meeting ID and password, then via zoom video call one of our team will ask you to hold up your ID for verification purposes.
We will also ask for a copy of these ID/ documents to be scanned over.
We can also offer appointments in the office if Zoom cannot be used and these will be conducted in the safest way possible.
You will be asked to wear a mask and led into our large glass room where social distancing measures can take place.
Disinfectant will be used in the room.
