We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Full or Part-Time Wills & Probate Secretary/PA

We are looking to recruit an experienced Wills & Probate secretary to join the team at either our Burton or Swadlincote office.

The ideal candidate will have worked within this area of law before and will be able to draft documents such as Wills and Powers of Attorney.   They must be organised, have a keen eye for detail, an excellent telephone manner and be committed to client care.

Full-Time Conveyancer

We are seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive (ideally 3yrs PQE). This full-time role can be based at any one of our offices in Derby, Ashby, Swadlincote or Burton upon Trent.

The successful candidate will have experience of handling a varied caseload of sales and purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages and will have a ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. With a flexible approach and positive attitude, you will be committed to offering a high-quality service.

In addition, there will also be an element of marketing and business development activities involved.

Client Services Team Members/ Receptionists

We have an excellent opportunity for two full-time Client Services Team Members/ Receptionists to join our teams in Burton and Swadlincote.

The Client Services Team/ Reception is the first contact a client has with our firm both on the telephone, by email and in person. The role focusses on delivering an outstanding service for existing and potential clients, building relationships at all levels. A professional approach/demeanour is required at all times.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding organisation and communication skills, first class customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.

Part-Time Wills & Probate Solicitor/ Legal Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active, self-motivated and client focused individual to join our Wills & Probate team based in Ashby.

The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts and have proven experience in managing their own workload with minimum supervision.

Full or Part-Time Contentious Probate Solicitor

After an increase in contentious probate enquiries, we feel the time is right to recruit a full or part-time Contentious Probate Solicitor to develop work in this area, based at our Derby office.

The ideal candidate will have the drive and ambition to convert enquiries into instructions, gradually building up work. The ideal candidate will also be an active participator in networking events and business development opportunities (with support from colleagues and an internal marketing team). Membership of STEP and ACTAPS, or desire to work towards this would be a real benefit for the role.

Conveyancing Paralegal

Based in our Derby office we are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal with experience working on a range of Freehold and Leasehold Conveyancing transactions. The ideal candidate must have experience with handling their own matters and be confident and able to work independently, however there will be a team of experienced lawyers available for technical questions.
