Over the past few years, Timms have worked closely with DCCT on several projects.
Timms Solicitors have expanded their relationship with Derby County Community Trust (DCCT) by joining several other local businesses and organisations in becoming a Trust Partner.

Sponsorship of the ‘Inclusion Award’
For the sixth consecutive year, Timms were incredibly proud to sponsor the ‘Inclusion Award’ at the annual Derby County Community Trust Awards
The Inclusion Award is awarded to a team or individual who has helped create and facilitate inclusive practice for participants, or who as a participant themselves, has engaged in one of the Derby County Community Trust programmes. Nominees will have achieved outstanding success whilst overcoming significant barriers and challenges. As an active member of the local community, Timms is delighted to sponsor such an award.
Being an active member of the local community is hugely important to Timms and being able to take part in the awards event in such a way is a real privilege.
We were excited to meet all the nominees this year, and the event was once again a huge success. Congratulations to the 2024 ‘Inclusion Award’ winner Karen Chamberlain.
The Derby County Community Trust Awards were held on Thursday 26th September at Pride Park Stadium, Derby.
Derby County 10k Runners
Members of our team were keen to join in the annual fundraising event with Connor Ball- Wood, Claire Price & Michaela Solomonides representing Team Timms at the event this year.
The 10k took place on Sunday 24th March 2024, starting at Pride Park stadium, then taking in a loop of the city centre before heading back to the finish line.
Wills & Probate Talks
Our Wills & Probate team support DCCT giving information talks and presentations on the importance of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys. After initially being invited to talk at their quarterly staff event, our team have gone on to presenting at a number of DCCT’s participant groups.
Pictured above is our 2023 event which was a huge success and by far the biggest Wills & Probate quiz to date with 70 participants.
Rams in Kenya
Timms Solicitors Marketing Manager Sharon Jeffery and her 14-year-old daughter Natalie were among a team of volunteers that joined Derby County Community Trust’s Rams in Kenya trip in May 2023.
Supported by Timms, this was the second year that the pair travelled to Nakuru in Kenya and spent eight days working at a local school – to help improve conditions for the pupils and their families.
Derby County Community Trust celebrated their 10th visit in 2023 with over 80 volunteers – making this the biggest trip from a football club across the country. They worked in partnership with African Adventures taking over 300 volunteers over the years.
Sharon and Natalie revisited rural school ‘Cherish’ where, in 2022, the work schedule included helping the school’s cook, digging foundations for a perimeter wall, painting classrooms and creating a new playground for the children.
