At Timms Solicitors, we believe in nurturing potential from within. Our Pathway to Partnership is a structured, values-driven programme designed for dedicated individuals who envision their future as Associates, or even Partners, within our firm.

Two Clear Pathways

  1. Associate Programme (after 12 months)
  2. Partner Programme (after 24 months)

Both tracks offer a thoughtful, development-focused journey—encouraging progression based on readiness, not just tenure. Whether you’re aiming to grow as a senior solicitor or step into a leadership role, your path is clear and supported.

Note: Completion of the programme doesn’t guarantee promotion, but it does significantly strengthen your potential to advance.

What the Programme Involves

Structured Training & Development: Participate in a blend of internal and external learning, tailored to build your leadership, management, and business acumen.

Career-Driven Projects: Take ownership of a business-focused initiative—whether in HR, marketing, finance, or client care—to sharpen your strategic thinking.

Transparent Criteria & Expectations: Know exactly what’s expected at each stage. Our process is clear, fair, and designed to help you demonstrate your readiness for progression.

Natasha Layton (Personal Injury), Katie Holmes (Conveyancing), Charlotte Day (Wills & Probate) and Jessica Barnett (Family Law) completed the 10-month programme and advanced to Associate level—now setting sights on the Partnership Programme.

How to Learn More or Get Started

  • Eligibility: Minimum of 12 months’ service for the Associate stream, 24 months for the Partnership track. (Unless you joined at those levels directly.)
