As a Trust Partner of Derby County Community Trust (DCCT), Timms are committed to supporting initiatives that bring people together and make a meaningful difference across Derby and the surrounding areas.
What Are the Derby County Community Trust Community Meals?
The Community Meals initiative takes place weekly at Harrison’s Hub at Pride Park Stadium during the winter months.
Running every Thursday from 4.30pm – 6.30pm between 2nd October and 26th March. The sessions provide a free hot meal and drink in a warm, welcoming environment for members of the community.
The meals are open to everyone. And aim to create a friendly space where individuals and families can enjoy nutritious food, meet others, and feel part of the community.
Since launching, the programme has served thousands of meals to local residents. Helping to address challenges such as food insecurity and social isolation. Whilst providing a safe and inclusive environment for attendees.
Timms Solicitors Supporting the Community
Timms Solicitors will attend the Community Meals on Thursday 12th March. Supporting the event is part of our ongoing partnership with Derby County Community Trust. The weekly sessions are supported by local businesses who sponsor meals and volunteer their time to help ensure the initiative continues to reach those who need it most.
Supporting programmes like Community Meals allows Timms to play an active role in helping local organisations deliver important services for the community.
Our Partnership with Derby County Community Trust
Over the past few years, Timms Solicitors have worked closely with the DCCT on a number of projects and initiatives.
One of the highlights of our partnership is sponsoring the Inclusion Champion Award at the annual Derby County Community Trust Awards. The award recognises a team or individual who has helped create and promote inclusive opportunities for participants within the Trust’s programmes.
Members of the Timms team have also taken part in fundraising initiatives such as the Derby 10K. Which helped raise vital funds to support the Trust’s work across the city.
In addition, our Wills & Probate team have delivered talks and presentations to Derby County Community Trust staff and participants. Sharing information on the importance of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Supporting Communities at Home and Abroad
Timms have also supported the Trust’s international Rams in Kenya initiative.
Members of our team joined volunteers travelling to Nakuru in Kenya, where they helped improve facilities at a local school and supported pupils and their families. The programme forms part of Derby County Community Trust’s long-standing work with African Adventures.
