Timms Solicitors are supporting a major fundraising event in Ashby later this month to raise money to support local families.
Timms are a Gold Sponsor for Ashby Netball Club who are attempting to stage the longest continuous netball match by playing for 75 hours to raise money for The Kids Village Charity.
The epic challenge will be held at Ivanhoe School in Ashby starting on Thursday 20th February and continuing until 1pm on Sunday 23rd February.
As part of their support, the Timms team will be playing for three hours on Friday 21st February – cheered on by colleagues, family and friends.
The event is set to raise thousands of pounds which will help extremely poorly children and their families by giving them a restful break away from the trauma of being in and out of hospital.
Ashby Netball Club is a club of almost 200 players, around 85 senior players and 110 junior players. The senior club has 11 teams and plays across three leagues.
The club are already world record holders for the most goals scored in 24 hours (28,745) so they are used to a challenge.
Timms Solicitors have been based in Ashby for many years and support several local events and initiatives. They are supporting this event alongside the main sponsors, Pladis and Saffron Catering.
Timms Solicitors managing partner Fiona Moffat said: “As a firm which is fully committed to the local communities that we serve, we are delighted to be supporting this incredibly ambitious fundraising challenge – both with financial support and through the efforts of our own energetic team of netballers.
“We are very much looking forward to this event and wish everyone taking part the best of luck in their joint endeavours.”
